Since both of these petitions aim to change the constitution of the state of Oklahoma we require 15% of the overall voters in the 2018 gubernatorial race to sign the petition. The 2018 election had a total of 1,186,385 votes cast across all parties, meaning a total of 174,071 signatures are required for each of these petitions to move forward.
To make sure we meet this signature requirement it will take a joint effort by all of us in the medical cannabis industry actively participating in the volunteer work and funding required to print and distribute The petitions. only registered voters in the state of oklahoma can legally sign the petition and be counted, so verifying a persons status before having them sign could lead to an easier time counting and validating the signatures later on in the process.
By becoming a certified dealer of High Guys products you can be assured that you will already be doing your part. In an attempt to unify everyone involved we will be donating a portion of our proceeds towards the operational cost of the ORCA organization who is responsible for drafting both of these petitions that we see as a great step towards protecting our rights to participate in this industry we fought so hard to be a part of.
